At lunchtime, the police were alerted about a snowmobile accident in Vojmådalen, Vilhelmina municipality. One person is believed to have been involved.

The police officer on duty made a decision to initiate rescue services in accordance with the Act on Protection against Accidents (LSO) to assist the man. Mountain rescue teams were called to the scene. Shortly before 2 o'clock, it was reported that the man had been loaded into a helicopter for transport to medical care.

The police will speak with the affected person.
