Police were called to National Road 25, just west of Ryssby, after a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a car. According to initial reports, the car had left the road. The driver, an 85-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance and the car was towed from the scene.

The driver has passed away and the Police suspect that it may be a case of a medical condition.

Next of kin have been notified.
