The police have been working on several cases of fraud in recent times where the scammers use the same method. Those affected receive an SMS from a sender who claims to be "Billogram" or "Billo". In the SMS, an incorrect invoice is mentioned and the person affected is asked to call a phone number to rectify this.

In several cases, we have seen that these phone calls in the lead-up lead to the scammers visiting the victims at their homes and then deceive them into handing over jewelry and valuable items. This is done, among other things, by claiming that they need to photograph or confiscate the valuable items to protect the victims from theft.

The scammers have hit various places in Greater Gothenburg and in Halland over time. Recently, we have received several reports from people who have been targeted in northern Halland.
