Under the afternoon, information arrived that a helicopter in Kirunafjällen could not be contacted.

The police initiated a rescue service in accordance with the Act on Protection against Accidents, to find out what had happened. Mountain rescue and helicopters were called to the scene.

At 14:18, it was announced that contact had been established with the helicopter.

The police is concluding the operation and recalling the resources.
