The scammer stated that there had been many break-ins in the area and asked the couple to leave their valuables in a bag that would then be picked up by a man who also claimed to be from the police. This man was then given a bag with valuables from the older woman in the couple. A report has been filed for gross fraud.

Note: The police will never come and pick up your valuables at home. Such requests are always scams, even if the person calling or visiting you claims to be a police officer, bank employee or from another authority.
