29-30/6 Vandalism, Gas Stations, Lerum, Alingsås and Borås

Several alarms have been reported to the police over the weekend about an unknown perpetrator cutting the hoses to gas pumps at unmanned gas stations. On Monday morning, five more reports of vandalism were submitted. There have also been reports over the weekend where people have gotten gasoline or diesel on themselves, resulting in hospital visits. In total, there are at least ten reports established, and all have occurred in the Lerum, Alingsås and Borås region.

The crime classifications include vandalism, causing bodily harm, but it may be changed or supplemented. No person is arrested or suspected at this time. The police are interested in contacting people who may have seen something that may be related to the crimes. Contact the police at 114 14.

The police authority has also handled routine matters, such as checks of people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime, wildlife accidents and traffic controls. No more serious crimes have come to the police's knowledge.

Update at 07.57: During the weekend, at least 10 reports have been submitted regarding vandalism. In one of the cases, a child got fuel on themselves and had to seek medical care together with a guardian. We have also submitted a report of causing bodily harm.
