Haparanda, attempt at fraud.
Reports are coming in that an elderly woman has been called by a person who claims to be calling from the police. The person is trying to get information about the woman's bank card and how much money she has. The person is also claiming that some men are driving around and breaking into elderly women's homes to, among other things, assault them.
The police are gathering information to file a report regarding an attempt at fraud. A report has also been filed regarding impersonating a public official, as the person who called claimed to be from the police.
So, how you protect yourself from phone scams:
1. Hang up the phone, you don't have to be polite
2. Don't log in with your bank ID, don't give out any codes
3. Don't trust the person calling, even if they seem credible or try to stress you in some way
