A man has been found with injuries caused by a sharp object in the central parts of Nyköping during the morning. The man has been taken to hospital for care. 

How the injuries were inflicted on the man is not yet clarified. Areas in Nyköping have been cordoned off for investigation. These cordons have now been lifted. The man affected is not seriously physically injured. 

No person has been able to be apprehended as suspected at present. The incident is currently classified as an attempted robbery.

Police are now working to gather information about the incident. Anyone who has seen or heard something in connection with this is urged to contact the police.
