A driver collided with a cyclist on Hjältebyvägen on Tjörn. The driver is said to have traveled at approximately 30-40km/h according to information to the police, the cyclist was awake and able to speak but was bleeding from the head. The cyclist and the driver were taken to hospital by ambulance with unclear injury status.
On the scene, suspicions of drunk driving were raised as the driver smelled of alcohol. The police patrol has drawn up a report on gross drunk driving and reckless driving with the driver, a man in his 75-year-old age, suspected.
