A tram has derailed and crashed into a pizzeria at the intersection of Kungsportsavenyn and Vasagatan in Gothenburg.

There are several injured, unclear how many at present.

The police authority is cooperating with rescue services, ambulance and Gothenburg Tramways.

A large area is cordoned off and tram traffic is stopped on the current route.

A preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic and gross negligence causing bodily harm has been initiated.
