Reports are coming in about a man injured in a park in Sollefteå. The man is awake and able to speak. He is being taken to medical care for examination by ambulance.

The police are starting work immediately to find out what happened and to locate a suspected perpetrator. As part of this work, a search of a home is being conducted on an address in Sollefteå. There a man is found and arrested.

The man, who is in his 55s, is to be questioned and the prosecutor is to be contacted to decide whether he should be detained or not.

Initially, the case is classified as aggravated assault as there is suspicion that a weapon was used.
