23:43 Vandalism, Nässjö
Several alarms about some form of explosion at a residential building in Nässjö are received. The police send resources to the scene and can confirm that a detonation occurred at the house with some material damage as a result. There were people in the building but no one was injured. A large resource is working on the case during the night, including national bomb protection and technicians who conduct crime scene investigation.
The legal situation is vandalism and a crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods.
The police have a cordon in place at the scene which is lifted at 04:15 and witness interviews and door-to-door questioning are carried out in the area.
There is currently no detained or arrested perpetrator. The investigation is now continuing to compile the witness statements available and analysis of the traces found at the scene. There is also camera material that needs to be reviewed. The police will have presence in the community during the day and work to create a sense of security. Alarm is received that a car is on fire in Nässjö. Rescue services and police go to the scene and can confirm a fully developed fire in a car parked on the street. The fire is extinguished and the area is cordoned off. A crime scene investigation is carried out and the cordon is lifted at 04:43. A report of damage by fire has been made, there is no suspected perpetrator.
03:41 Traffic accident, Myresjö.
A single-vehicle accident occurs on road 773 near Myresjö. A car with a man in his 30s as driver drives off the road and into a tree. The crash is severe and the man dies at the scene of his injuries. Relatives have been notified. There is no suspicion of a crime in connection with the incident.
