Police have handled a 50 cases between 22 and 07 in Södermanland County. No serious violent crimes or serious incidents have come to the police's knowledge.

02:07 Theft through break-in, Eskilstuna.

Alarm comes in about a break-in at a school in Edvardslund in Eskilstuna. It is security guards who report and a patrol is sent to the scene. Someone or several perpetrators have smashed windows to get into the building and there they have seized computers. A crime scene investigation has been conducted but there is currently no suspected perpetrator.

04:31 Vandalism, Katrineholm.

Alarm comes in about ongoing vandalism in Lasstorp, Katrineholm. Windows of at least two cars have been smashed and a mailbox is said to have been thrown through a window into a residence. Police are sent to the scene and can apprehend a man in his 20s who is in the vicinity. There is reason to believe that the man does not feel well and poses a risk to himself and others, and he is initially taken into custody under the LPT47 (law on psychiatric compulsory care) and later is also arrested suspected of vandalism. No person is physically injured.
