19.46 police were alerted about a wild accident where a car collided with an elk on E4 at the height of Skäggetorp/Tornby in Linköping. The car sustained some damage but no person was injured. The elk ran further towards a densely populated area. 

Shortly thereafter, police were alerted that the elk had jumped over a car in Tornby and possibly injured itself. 

At 19.55, the elk had become stuck in a fence in Skäggetorp, near Nygårdsskolan. 

Police are on the scene. The elk will be checked and killed if necessary.
