On Tuesday morning, police were alerted to an address in Karlstad where a woman in her 30s had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Police went to the scene to speak with the woman and witnesses. The suspect, who is also the boyfriend, had left the scene when police arrived.

He was, however, soon found by a patrol and apprehended on suspicion of assault.
