Police were alerted during the night to a residence due to violence in a close relationship.

A man was detained and is now being held in custody.

The man, who is in his 40s, is suspected of multiple crimes, including assault and psychological violence, against a woman who has some form of relationship with him.

The complainant has not required an ambulance.
