A 65-year-old man was apprehended on Saturday, suspected of having assaulted and threatened with a weapon a woman he is in a relationship with.

The incident occurred in a residence in Östersunds municipality.

A complaint was filed regarding assault and aggravated unlawful threats.

Following an interrogation, the prosecutor will decide whether the man should be detained or not.
