The police were alerted at 12.47 on Sunday to a location in Hallsberg. There, a person was found who was taken to medical care by ambulance. The person, who was a man, was awake and able to speak at the time of the encounter.

The case is being investigated as a serious assault and the location was cordoned off. A number of investigative measures have been taken. At present, there is no one detained or suspected in the case.

The cordon was lifted shortly before 5 pm.
