Police were alerted to a residence in Kävlinge municipality due to a couple in their 70s being targeted by a scam earlier in the evening.

According to initial reports, an unknown person first called the victims and shortly thereafter an unknown man appeared and attempted to mislead the victims into handing over jewelry.

The couple did not let the man into the residence and he was unable to obtain any jewelry.

Police have been on the scene and spoken with those affected. A report of attempted gross fraud has been filed. No one has been arrested in connection with the case.
