Scams against people over 70 years old continue. In a number of cases, people have been robbed of jewelry/personal belongings.
Scams can start in different ways. It can be a text message with a false claim such as 'the painter will come tomorrow' or 'the purchase you made of xx has not gone through' and there is often a number to call to solve the alleged problem.
In the conversation when the victim calls the number in the text message: different things are said but the basis is that the person/people you talk to pretend to want to 'help solve' the invented problem. They can also claim that the bank and insurance companies are involved in the conversation and you can be connected to different people.
The basic thing is: DO NOT log in to Bank-ID on request, DO NOT give out cards or card information and do not let anyone come home to check valuable items or anything else. It is a scam.
Talk gladly with your friends and relatives about the problem with scams and what you should think about.
