Police are assisting the Rescue Service with a basement fire in a multi-family house in Söderhamn. It is currently unknown why a fire started in a storage room.

At present, there are no reports of personal injuries, apart from a person who inhaled smoke and was examined by ambulance personnel. Police are assisting, among other things, with cordoning off the area.

The Rescue Service states that the fire has been extinguished. However, there is still a lot of smoke in the stairwells. It is still unclear what burned.
