Summary of the police's work in connection with Härnösand's city festival on Friday:
Police on the scene reported a relatively calm event during the festival's first day, which can be attributed to the rainy weather.
Alcohol consumption has been as expected but has remained at a good level – thanks in large part to the good work of the orderlies inside the festival area. Eight people have been taken into custody according to LOB, the Law on the Taking into Custody of Intoxicated Persons.
Police have removed one person from the area and taken another person into custody according to the Police Act 13. A small amount of alcohol has been confiscated.
Inside the festival area, police have handled two misconduct cases, one of which occurred in the beer tent and one in the audience in front of the stage. Two cases of misconduct have also been handled outside the area. A fraud case linked to the city festival has also been handled, as well as an harassment case that occurred outside. Social services' field workers have handled a small number of young people.
Police have had good staffing and a large number of people with vests from both the coast guard, rescue services, and adults on the street have contributed to creating a sense of security.
