Police were alerted to a residential area in Virentofta due to residents waking up to a loud bang. 

At the scene, it is established that something detonated in connection with a villa. Several windows were shattered in connection with the detonation. 

No one is home at the relevant address when the police arrive, no person has been injured. 

The scene is cordoned off for technical investigation and the national bomb protection is investigating the scene. 

The investigation is now complete and the cordons are lifted. 

The incident is being investigated as a case of malicious destruction of property and a crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods. No one has been arrested.
