July 1 07.31, Summary of the night, Jämtland County

Here follow a selection of the events of the night:

00.26 Wildlife accident, Östersund:
Police receive a report of an accident involving a car and a deer on county road 609, Frösön. No personal injuries are reported. It is unclear how the deer fared and a tracker is called out.

00.29 Wildlife accident, Östersund:
Police receive a report of an accident involving a car and an elk on E14, Grytan. No personal injuries are reported. It is unclear how the elk fared and a tracker is called out.

Other:
Police have handled a case overnight where a man in a residence in Östersund is suspected of assaulting a woman he is in a relationship with. The man is apprehended and after interrogation, the prosecutor has decided that the man, who is in his 50s, should be detained. There are no reports that the woman needed to be taken to medical care. A report of assault has been drawn up.

Three people have been taken into custody overnight for intoxication.

Police have also performed a number of checks of people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
