An alarm has been received regarding a traffic accident on National Road 40, Ingatorp, in Eksjö municipality. There, a passenger car collided with a bus. It can soon be confirmed that this is a violent accident, where one person has been seriously injured. 

What may have led to the accident is currently unknown. The police are on the scene to assist other emergency personnel as needed and to find out more about what happened. 

There are currently major disruptions to traffic flow on the stretch. If you are a driver, you should consider taking an alternative route while the work at the scene is ongoing. At present, there is no prognosis from the police side as to when it will be easier to pass through again. 

Update 18:10: The person who was seriously injured in the accident, a man in his 20s, has died from his injuries. The closest relatives have been informed of what has happened. The police will take the passenger car into custody to investigate it.
