Police are alerted about an explosion and a strong smoke development from a building in Rinkeby. 
One man has been injured in the incident and is being taken to the hospital by ambulance. 
The smoke development makes it initially difficult to assess what happened, but the cumulative information suggests that something may have exploded, and the police are launching an investigation into gross public destruction. In addition, the crimes of attempted murder and violation of the law on flammable and explosive goods are also being investigated.

The condition of the injured man is unclear, but he is awake and able to speak. It is also unknown how the man sustained his injuries.

The crime scene is cordoned off, and nearby residents are being relocated to avoid exposure to smoke. A number of people have inhaled smoke and are therefore being checked by healthcare. 
In the current situation, there is a fire in the basement, which is being handled by the rescue service.
