Five people have been taken into custody for intoxication and two people have been taken in for testing after suspicion of narcotics crime.

The police have also carried out several checks of people and vehicles that have not resulted in any crime suspicions.

Here follows a selection of the night's events:

22:25 Violence/threats against public official, Umeå
Police go to a pub in central Umeå due to reports of a fight. Two men were involved, according to reports. One man, in his 30s, is taken into custody with the support of the law on the care of intoxicated persons (LOB). He is suspected of violent resistance against a public official and minor narcotics crime, personal use.

02:06 Drunk driving, Umeå
Police check a driver in Umeå who drove into a traffic light pole. The driver, a man in his 25s, is taken in for testing and he is suspected of drunk driving. He is also taken into custody with the support of the law on the care of intoxicated persons (LOB). The car is towed from the scene.

02:20 Drunk driving, Storuman
A driver is checked on E12 in a village in Storuman municipality. Suspicion arises that she is under the influence of narcotics. Testing is performed and the result will show if a crime has been committed. An interview is held and a report of suspected drunk driving and minor narcotics crime, personal use, will be prepared.

Two wildlife accidents have been reported to the police in the morning. There are no reports of personal injuries.
