January 16, 15.15, Scam, Halland County

The Police Authority has received a large number of reports in recent days from individuals who suspect they have been targeted by scam calls. All of them describe being called from a Finnish number. In the call, one hears a computer-generated voice that informs about a mistaken Swish payment. The voice then urges a button press. Exactly what happens after the button press is currently unknown to us as we have only attempts and no known completed crimes so far.
