New Year's Eve has been relatively calm from a police perspective. There has been a slightly higher influx of cases to the police than a usual weekend night, many of which have been linked to intoxication. The police have also taken up a number of reports regarding assault.

21 people have been apprehended according to the LOB (Law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons). In Åre, one person is suspected of minor drug offenses due to carrying drugs. Two people in Härjedalen and one in Östersund have been taken in for testing regarding suspected drug influence.

00:13, Law on Flammable and Explosive Substances, Härjedalen.

The police are controlling two teenagers under 18 years old in Lofsdalen. They have fireworks with an age limit. A report is being filed regarding an offense against the law on flammable and explosive substances.

01:06, Mountain Rescue, Åre

A man who is staying in a mountain cabin in Åre has fallen ill. The on-duty officer decides to alert mountain rescue with the support of the LSO (Law on Protection against Accidents). The mountain rescue team can reach the cabin and help the man to an ambulance. The operation is concluded.

02:14, Traffic Accident, Östersund

Länsväg 592, Vallsundsbron, Orrviken. A car has driven off the road. The police and rescue services are alerted to the scene. The driver, a woman, is taken to medical care. She is suspected of gross drunk driving. A report is being filed.

04:09, Vandalism, Östersund

The police are alerted to a multi-family house on Frösön. A man is said to have been in the stairwell and laundry room, and may have broken things. The police arrive at the address and can apprehend the man. He is suspected of vandalism, violent resistance, and minor drug offenses, personal use. He is apprehended according to the LOB (Law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons).
