Summary of last night's events.

Police have handled over 170 cases in Södermanland County between 22:00 and 07:00. Of these, 30 are related to fireworks and explosions. No serious injuries or major fires have been caused by these incidents during the night, but a number of fires in containers, trash cans, and similar have been reported to be suspected of being caused by firework devices. No one has been suspected of committing a crime in connection with these fires. The police have been engaged in a lot of security-enhancing activities and have been visible at locations with a lot of people. 20 cases are related to intoxication, and the police have taken in a number of people according to LOB, and also driven home minors to their caregivers.

22:02 The police are called to an apartment in Öster, Katrineholm, where fireworks have been shot out of a window in an apartment. Four men in their 20s are checked and a number of firework devices are seized. No one is suspected of committing a crime at this time.

22:42 The fire department is called to Gökstensskolan in Eskilstuna, an automatic alarm has gone off. 00:52 The police are called to an address in Nyköping where a injured man in his 18s is reported to have fallen and hit his head, resulting in head injuries. At the hospital, it is found that he was assaulted by a man of the same age who is arrested and now suspected of gross assault. The police have taken a number of investigative measures during the night, but further interviews will be held.

02:12 The police are called about a car driving around central Eskilstuna and fireworks are being thrown at people and other vehicles. The police manage to stop the car and four men in their 18-20s are checked. All are suspected of assault, causing danger to others, and violating the law on flammable and explosive substances.
