Under the morning, the police were contacted regarding the discovery of a number of dead reindeer after a forest road just outside Umeå.

The police are on the scene for investigative measures such as interviews and crime scene investigation, where a dog patrol is also being used to secure tracks.

A report on damage to property will be prepared as there is suspicion that an unknown perpetrator illegally killed the reindeer.
