Good morning. Here follows a selection of last night's matters.
The police's regional command center has handled around 40 cases between 22.00-07.00 that concern Östergötland's county.
At 01.00, the police were alerted to Silverringen in Navestad in Norrköping due to a recently discovered car break-in. The break-in is said to have occurred in the last hour. A car is on the scene with a smashed window. Valuables have been taken from the car. The police have searched for a suspected perpetrator but have not found anyone. A report of theft and vandalism has been drawn up.
At 04.00, the police were alerted to a break-in in a flat on the ground floor in Hageby in Norrköping. The break-in is said to have occurred at some point between 21.00 and 04.00. It appears that the flat has been disturbed, but it is unclear what was stolen. The flat's occupant has acted commendably: the person came home, saw that there had been a break-in, and turned around in the hallway before calling the police. This can help the police find traces of the perpetrator. A crime scene investigation has been carried out, and the incident is being investigated as theft through break-in.
