Police officers experience it as a situation of necessity, where one of them shoots out one of the car's tires. The driver continues driving from the scene and a shorter pursuit begins. After a couple of minutes, the driver, a man in his 30s, decides to stop the vehicle. He is secured and arrested, suspected of a range of crimes: Attempt to commit gross violence against a public official, reckless driving, theft of a vehicle and narcotics offense of personal use. The man is also suspected of having driven under the influence and is to be tested. No person has been physically injured in connection with the incident.  

According to routine, the incident has been reported and forwarded to the Department for Special Investigations, an independent department within the Police Authority.
