February 4, 08.27, Criminal detention of a person/robbery, Vallentuna

The parent of a child calls the police when a strange man tried to lure the child into a car. 
The incident is said to have occurred in the Norrgården area when the child was on its way to school in the morning. 
Several patrols are engaged in the incident and search in Vallentuna for a man and a vehicle that resembles the one described by the child. A man is checked, but he is not considered to have any connection to the incident. 
The police also conducts door-to-door checks in the surrounding area of the designated crime scene. 
No suspected perpetrator is found and the police initiate an investigation into attempted kidnapping. 

The child has not taken any physical damage. 

The police has previously investigated similar reported incidents in Täby and will investigate any potential connections. There is also a need for witness statements to strengthen the investigations.
