The driver of one of the cars is suspected of gross drunk driving, gross bodily harm, and drug offense (possession and use).

She is apprehended and taken to a healthcare facility for testing. There, she will also be offered a care contact and support to get back on track with her problems with alcohol or drugs, according to the so-called SMADIT model.

SMADIT
The starting point for SMADIT is that suspected drunk drivers, drug-impaired drivers, or boating drunk drivers should as quickly as possible be offered the opportunity to contact social services or addiction care to address their problems with alcohol and/or drugs.
