Vid Sunday lunch broke a powerful fire out in an apartment in a multi-family house in the residential area Gottsunda.

Police, fire department and ambulance were alerted to the scene.

Police are assisting the fire department in their rescue work.

Residents in several staircases have been evacuated from the building.

So far, three people have had to go to hospital.

The work is still ongoing at the scene.

Update 14:42:

No one should be seriously injured according to staff on the scene.

In order to be able to investigate what happened, an initial report of suspected gross arson is being written.

It will take some time until the fire has cooled down before forensic technicians can investigate the cause of the fire.
