Police regional command center has handled around 40 cases related to Östergötland County between 22:00 and 07:00.

Assault in Skänninge
Just before 23:00, the police were alerted to an assault in Skänninge, Mjölby municipality. A man in his 20s is believed to have been beaten by a handful of masked individuals and also suffered an injury from a sharp object. The perpetrators are believed to have fled the scene after the incident. The police are launching an investigation into aggravated assault. The injured man was taken to hospital in an ambulance. The police have been able to question the man and also spoken to potential witnesses. No one has been arrested as a result of the assault.
 
Robbery in Hageby
Around 23:00, the police received information that a man had been robbed in Hageby. The incident is believed to have occurred outdoors when two individuals approached the man and asked him something, and in connection with this, one of them showed a sharp object. The victim was then relieved of a watch. The police launched an investigation into the robbery shortly after. Several people have been checked, but no suspect has been found. The police have also questioned the injured man. 

Car fire in Finspång
Just before 05:00, the police were alerted to a car fire in Finspång after a report of a fully developed fire in a parked car. The police patrol that was at the scene can report that the fire burned extensively in the cabin. The working hypothesis is that the fire was set. A report has been filed regarding arson through fire damage.

The police have also carried out various routine checks on their own initiative or following reports from the public.
