Large number of vehicles involved in traffic accident on E18.

Police alerted to accident site after reports of a traffic accident involving a large number of vehicles on E18 between Enköping and Bålsta. Westbound direction. Police en route.

Total traffic stop in the direction of Enköping. The accident occurred between Grillby-Ekolsund.

Update 12:45

Several people have been injured in the accident and ambulances have begun transporting the injured to hospitals, unclear extent of injuries.

The road remains closed in the westbound direction.
