Police are on the scene with a number of resources in Luthagen following a report of a suspected object.

A large area is cordoned off as a safety measure. The affected streets are Sysslomansgatan, Götgatan, Ringgatan and Tegnérgatan.

Two schools, Sverkerskolan and Amerikanska gymnasiet, have been evacuated in connection with the incident.

Police are urging the public to respect the cordons and follow the instructions given on the spot. There are no reports of anyone being injured in connection with the incident. 

Car and bus traffic is affected in the area as long as the cordons are deemed necessary on the spot.

The notice may be updated when the police have new information to share.

Police have now completed their operation in Luthagen after an assessment of the suspected object has been carried out.
The object found was harmless. 

Police cordons are now lifted on the spot. There is no suspicion of a crime.
