17:46 Police were alerted to a kiosk on Borgmästaregatan in Vetlanda due to a robbery. Two masked perpetrators are said to have entered the kiosk and, under threat of violence, attempted to take cash. The perpetrators have since left the scene. It is unclear whether the duo managed to get away with any stolen goods in the end.

The staff at the kiosk are not believed to have suffered any personal injuries in connection with the incident. Police have searched the central parts of Vetlanda and spoken to the victim. The crime scene has also been cordoned off for a forensic investigation. At present, no one has been arrested and a report will be filed for attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated weapons offense.
