Police patrol has apprehended a 50-year-old man after he assaulted a woman he has a relationship with. The woman has been forced to seek acute medical care.

The incident occurred at an address within the Lindesberg municipality.

Police patrols will carry out several investigative measures according to a special routine, hold interrogations and inform the suspect, after which the prosecution chamber will be contacted for a report on the information obtained so far. The prosecutor will then make a decision on possible further detention, either in the form of remand or the man will be released on bail during the ongoing investigation.
