A car has at high speed, according to witnesses, driven off the road and into a tree on Stömstadsvägen in central Åmål. The driver, who was alone in the car, was taken to the central hospital in Karlstad with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. An investigation into negligence in traffic has been initiated and the car is being towed for technical examination.
