Man arrested for assault
Around midnight, police are alerted that a woman has been assaulted by a man she has a relationship with. The incident is said to have occurred in a residence somewhere in Vaggeryd Municipality. The police arrive at the scene to investigate what happened. The 65-year-old man is arrested on suspicion of assault. The affected woman is not seriously injured. 

Licence confiscated on E4 in
Just before 06:00, the police patrol initiates its own case in connection with an attempt to catch up with a car that has been driven at extremely high speed near Skillingaryd. According to information from the patrol, the driver drove at around 200 km/h. The car is stopped shortly, and the driver's license is confiscated. The man also receives a fine for speeding.
