Control Point Sävar, the police are checking a truck.
The police suspect that the company owning the truck has committed unlawful cabotage. This means that the foreign-registered company does not follow the rules regarding temporary domestic freight transport that exist. The rules mean that the company is allowed to carry out three Swedish domestic transports within seven days. Breaking these rules can result in suspicion of unlawful cabotage.
The driver of the truck also lacked a posting notification. This is a notification that a foreign employer must make where they describe the work that the employee will perform in Sweden. This is so that the police can check that the employee has good working conditions.
For the two rule breaches, the company owning the truck had to pay 120,000 kronor in advance to a fine. After that, another transport company picked up the truck.
