Since 2026-03-16, we have had 15 cases of theft where individuals have entered storage rooms, barns, and garages in rural areas and stolen everything from tools to motorcycles.

The police are actively working on the problem and will in the near future try to prioritize our visibility in north-eastern Ale in order to try to apprehend and prosecute the thieves, but the police need the public's help.

The police are in great need of information and urge residents in the area to report cars or people who do not belong in the area.

There are also a number of simple measures that you as a property owner can take to protect yourself against crime. Make sure to have good locks on your property and work with lighting around your property and if possible, install a camera on the property. Thieves are light-fearing individuals and floodlights with motion sensors are a cheap and deterrent investment.
