The police were alerted at 22.10 that a man had been found injured in the Anneberg area of Nässjö municipality.

The man was found by passersby.

The man is either stabbed or cut. At present, there are no further details to be given about the man's condition.

A cordon has been set up around the crime scene.

The police have been searching for a suspect in the area. The police have used drones, among other things, and have stopped and checked a bus and several cars without any findings.

The police have arrested a 30-year-old man who is suspected of causing the man's injuries. The suspected man was arrested between Anneberg and Eksjö, and therefore the police have also closed the road to investigate it.

The police are now working to map out the sequence of events, secure evidence, gather witness statements, and question the suspect.

The man found is 30 years old. At present, there are no new details to be given about the man's condition.

Update 02.00: The cordon at the road where the 30-year-old was arrested has now been lifted.

Update 02.15: The injured man has died. Relatives have been notified. The police are investigating the incident as a murder.
