40s gangs dug in Uppsala Kungshögar.
The police receive a call from Upplandsmuseet, which on Wednesday discovered a large number of newly dug holes in the archaeological site in Gamla Uppsala.
On the site are the so-called Kungshögarna, a burial ground from the younger Iron Age.
It is not allowed to leave the walking paths in the area and enter the burial grounds.
During the inspection, it appears that someone has entered the burial grounds where they have dug 40 holes.
The behavior is described as typical when someone has walked around with a metal detector and searched for objects hidden under the ground.
The holes are estimated to have been dug recently.
The patrol sets up a report of a crime against the antiquities law, but further crime classifications may be added to the case.
The police are interested in any observations related to the incident. Have you seen or heard anything, call the police on 114 14.
