Four people were arrested overnight near Gäddede in Strömsund Municipality suspected of aggravated theft or receiving stolen goods.
The crime is believed to have occurred in connection with a residential burglary in Norway.
The arrests were made in cooperation with the Norwegian police, who contacted the Swedish police after the individuals crossed the border in a car.
The car and suspected stolen goods, including gold, that were found in connection with the arrest, have been seized.
After questioning, the prosecutor has made a decision to have the individuals, who are in their 20s to 35s, detained.
