18:10 Police were alerted to a residence in central Tranås due to a scam. A scammer is said to have contacted a 95-year-old woman via the telephone and claimed to be from the company Ikea. The scammer claimed that the woman was liable for 32,000 kronor and that she would be forwarded to a blocked account department. The woman has not lost any money and a report of attempted fraud will be written.

During Friday evening, two more cases from Tranås have been reported to the police where a scammer claimed to be from Ikea. The police therefore want to go out and warn about this scam in an attempt to prevent further people from being affected.
