Police are contacted when a cow is located on RV70 between Viggeby and Jädra, just north of Enköping.

The public tried to get the animal off the road but since there was a lot of traffic on the road, police were requested to the scene. A patrol is ordered to assist with road safety and contacts the animal owner who arrives at the scene. 

The cow is caught by the public and the animal owner and the animal is placed in a nearby enclosure.

The police suspect no crime in connection with the incident.

Phone calls are received again when the cow has again taken itself out on RV70.

Police are on their way to the scene and drivers are urged to take it easy and drive with great caution past the area as the animal is moving unpredictably and the risk of accidents is significant. Measures are being taken to try to catch the cow and lead it to safety.
